Leanna Carlson lives and pots in Prince George BC. Leanna mines her own clay and glaze materials. She is as passionate about that process as she is about the functional artwork she creates. Although labour-intensive, the process provides an important connection from the earth to the kiln to the table.
Her passion for the mountains is reflected in the designs that she produces in the collaborative work she does with Jesse Mason. Using clay from Alberta, their electric fired pottery has picturesque vistas of mountain ranges carved, painted and layered on the pieces making each one a unique piece of art.
Leanna’s highly prized work can be found at various galleries in northern BC including Two Rivers Gallery, Peace Gallery North, Prestige Gifts and Trophies, Studio 2880, and Mountainside Gallery and Framing, in Terrace BC.
