Born in northern British Columbia, Holly Pottinger is a wildlife and equine artist. Beyond high school art courses, Holly is self-taught, and enjoys exploring new mediums and techniques. She is currently producing paintings in oils on canvas and water colour on Aquaboard.
Holly finds inspiration from the animals and nature that surround her farm, located near Telkwa, B.C. She fits painting time around a busy schedule of raising Welsh Ponies and Arabian horses, homeschooling, and running a summer horse camp business.
Some of Holly’s achievements include:
- 3rd place at the Guide Outfitters Association of BC, Artist of the Year, 2012.
- Participated in juried Wall Art Sale, Calgary Stampede 2012
- Participated in juried Western Art Auction, Calgary Stampede 2012.
- Feature Artist in the Beef in BC magazine, May/June 2001 issue.
