MARJORIE SPISAK bio and link
Marjorie Spisak creates drawings that build on her life-long love of nature, both domestic and wild.
Marjorie was born in Prince Rupert in 1939 and was raised on one of the first pioneer homesteads in the Nass Valley. She started drawing at the age of four on scraps of paper and bits of old newsprint. Marjorie is largely self-taught and works predominantly in the medium of drawing, but includes painting in some works. Her drawings have appeared in exhibitions and shows throughout the Pacific Northwest including Terrace, Smithers and Forest Grove, Oregon. In addition, her works are in numerous private collections.
Marjorie combines shape, texture and colour to create highly detailed, realistic pieces. Much of her inspiration comes from her garden with its tangle of flowers and vegetables.
Marjorie lives and works in Terrace, BC.
