Rust Spot glazed pottery by Jude Hardcastle

I was first introduced to clay work in a weekend workshop held in Prince Rupert in 1975. A couple of friends and I made a coil cookie jar. I quite enjoyed it and later took lessons from Eva Bebington, at her pottery studio called The Centering Place in Terrace. I have since set up my own pottery studio in my home and have a Skutt electronic kiln and 2 Shimpo wheels. I have been giving lessons to adults, one on one since I retired. It is very satisfying sharing my love and knowledge of pottery making to others.

I sign my pottery with a heart with 2 wave symbols coming off the right side. This is because I was born on Valentine’s Day which makes me an Aquarian, the wave symbol being the zodiac symbol for Aquarius.

I like taking orders for pieces. You can view my Castle Pottery page on Face Book
