MITCH ADAMS

Born 1961, Prince Rupert, BC

Mitch Adams comes from a line of carvers, weavers and musicians. His father, Ivan Adams, is a skilled Haida carver, engraver, and musician. He passed his talents on to Mitch, teaching him how to engrave jewellery and carve paddles, frontlets and bowls in his youth.

Mitch lives in Terrace, BC. He is a 2010 graduate of the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art. This is where he learned design and carving skills from distinguished artists Ken McNeil, Stan Bevan and Dempsey Bob. Mitch works in several different mediums including wood (Alder, Cedar and Yew), silver, gold, copper, and pewter.
